At the Altitudes Foundation, we are convinced that digital technology and AI are amplifiers. Amplifiers that can widen inequalities or, on the contrary, multiply the impact of public-interest initiatives when technology is used for good. Yet a large part of the non-profit sector still struggles to benefit from these opportunities: due to a lack of time, resources, support and skills, many organisations remain on the sidelines. It is to address this challenge that the Digital & AI Alliance for Non-Profits was created, with the support of several foundations, associations and tech actors committed to the common good.

The Digital & AI Alliance for Non-Profits brings together frontline organisations, networks, foundations, tech companies and support actors around a shared ambition:
helping non-profits enhance their impact through digital technologies and AI, in a responsible, sustainable and accessible way.
This alliance is built on two observations:
- Non-profits play a vital role in social cohesion, education, health, employment and poverty reduction.
- Digital tools and AI could become powerful levers of efficiency, quality and advocacy, yet most organisations still lack the means, guidance and allies to get started or scale up.
Why an alliance?
Funding for digital transformation in the non-profit sector remains far too limited.
Technology investments are still too often seen as overhead costs, and therefore poorly funded by donors.

Meanwhile, support initiatives are multiplying—consulting programmes, acceleration schemes, pro bono offers, software solutions, training modules…
But these initiatives remain fragmented, sometimes opaque, and often unknown to the organisations that need them most.

The Digital & AI Alliance was born from a shared conviction:
together, we can go further—advocate for the funding of Tech for Good, highlight success stories, offer clearer pathways for non-profits, improve coordination between actors and carry greater weight in public debate.
A growing collective movement
The non-profit Share-it initiated the movement, but beyond its launch phase, the Digital & AI Alliance aims to become a shared resource for the entire ecosystem:
- A space for exchange, where non-profits can share their needs, challenges and achievements, and find reliable guidance to move forward.
- A place of convergence between funders, operators and experts, to co-finance useful, mutualised and structuring initiatives.
- A driver of advocacy, promoting digital transformation as a strategic lever in public policies and philanthropic strategies.
The contribution of Fondation Altitudes
The Altitudes Foundation plays an active role at the heart of the alliance:
- Member of the Strategic Committee: Olivier contributes to the alliance’s vision, priorities and strategic direction.
- Member of the Operational Committee: Dorothée contributes to the deployment, coordination and daily animation of the collective.
- Financial support: the Altitudes Foundation funds the coordination of the alliance, led by Share-it.
By supporting this alliance, Altitudes pursues the same ambition:
strengthening the long-term capacity of non-profits, and making digital technology and AI true levers for equal opportunities and social impact.
